Earsight is a brand new stereo microphone, an exclusive Immersive Soundscapes product, handcrafted in France. This microphone will increase the capacity of your mobile audio recorder as it is extremely sensitive and has a remarkably low self noise (<14dBa), not to mention it's capacity to record in ultra wide stereo. This capacity is very effective for nature recording, nocmig, soundscapes, ASMR, binaural and much more. Ultra compact, it can be stored in the bag of your recorder or fit in your pocket. It's discretion enables you to capture sounds that are not possible with conventional microphones. The Immersive Soundscapes Earsight XLR microphone can be used in combination with the Tascam DR-40X and the Tascam DR-44WLB.

Windscreens, especially for outdoor recording, are highly recommended and available here.

PAIRED XLR VERSION (XLR 48v): For any recorder with a 48V phantom power supply. The body of the XLR connector is equipped with components to adjust the voltage to fit the microphone power needs. It can be used also in mono as a lavalier microphone.

Guidelines on the use of Immersive Soundscapes microphones:

Set the recording gain as low as possible and then turn it up. This allows you to keep some headroom if a sound event has a higher dynamic range, this will help you avoid saturation. This prevents the appearance of background noise which increases with the gain (this depends a lot on the quality of the recorder).
Avoid tapping on the microphone to check if there is sound, this does not damage the microphone but can cause hearing damage.
Do not disconnect the jack or XLR microphone by pulling its cable.
Do not step on the cable as this could damage the connection between the cable and the capsule (the most fragile part of the microphone).
Be careful not to pull the cable when you want to disassemble the 3D adapter.
