The Buzzard III binoculars series is made with different user groups in mind: the 8x42 and 10x42 for bird watchers, (mountain) hikers and all other users who are looking for a bright viewer with high user comfort. The Buzzard series has a high-quality multi-coating on the lenses and uses the compact Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms. A hard hydrophobic plasma coating has been applied to these prisms to protect the front lenses against water, dust and scratches.
The housing is waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas. In addition, there are retractable eyecups available; this allows both spectacle wearers and non-spectacle wearers to use the binoculars.
