General:
The DR-44WLB is a handy recorder with high-quality components that, similar to its little brother, the DR-22WL, generates its own Wi-Fi network. A free app for iOS or Android devices provides monitoring, file transfer and audio streaming to your smartphone or tablet computer. Two cardioid microphone capsules are arranged in an X-Y arrangement so that their diaphragms overlap in the same axis. This X-Y configuration creates a true stereo image. The microphones can handle rather high sound pressure levels without distortion, up to 132 dB. Ideal for all your recording needs, for example music, city sounds or nature sounds. At the end of the recording, you can transfer the files directly to your smartphone, upload them to the cloud or social media, or email them directly to your colleagues.
The DR-44WLB also features two lockable XLR/TRS inputs for external microphones or sources. With four independent recording tracks, built-in mixer with reverb effect plus a bounce function, the DR-44WLB offers the possibility to create true multitrack recordings. Depending on your recording needs, you can set the recorder to record four mono, one stereo and two mono or two stereo tracks. You can also record two tracks in different formats (WAV/MP3) or with different level settings. In addition, this device supports +4dBu input, which is necessary to communicate with professional equipment
From firmware version 2.0 it is also possible to connect via an existing router or access point. Advantages are that:
