The Byomic Jewelry Magnifier Triplet 20,5mm is a convertible magnifier, which consists of three lenses. These lenses have a combined magnification of 10x or 15x and a lens diameter of 20,5mm. This type of magnifying glass is often used for observations of jewellery, for example. You can easily slide the triplet over your index finger. This allows you to study the finest essential details of the material to be examined.

The compact magnifying glass is lightweight and easy to carry in the included artifical leather pouch. For high reliability, the housing is made of metal; the lens is made of high quality glass. This gives you an extremely clear image and a high scratch resistance.

Deze loep is degelijk gebouwd met een metalen constructie. Echter, dit wordt niet bij elkaar gehouden door overduidelijke schroeven, zoals de foto toont. De loep is vastgehecht aan het metaal zoals ook bij het goedkopere model, te vinden op deze site, met een glasgrootte van 18mm. Ook is bij het uitklappen de ondervonden weerstand niet constant, waardoor het uitklapbare loepje gemakkelijk opeens een paar millimeter daalt, niets ernstigs, omdat het toch met vinger wordt ondersteund. De meegeleverde hoes is goed afgewerkt, en ziet er erg leuk uit. Verder heeft de loep weinig vervorming en een goed contrast. Wat optische prestaties is er dus zeker niets mis mee, ook de chromatische aberratie wordt laag gehouden. Wat de vergroting betreft kom ik zelf na wat testjes uit op rond de 7 keer (N.B. om dit te bepalen is geen heel exacte opstelling gebruikt), bij aankoop van de 10 keer vergrotende loep.
