This plumb bob from Skandia is only 50 grams including cord. The plumb bob, also called tile plumb bob, can be used to determine whether a line or plane is vertical. In archeology it comes as a handy tool for setting up a surveying instrument such as a level instrument.
Instructions: A cord is attached to the top of the plumb bob. By holding the cord at the top against the object that is to be set, it's possible to view a possible deviation from the plumb line. Since the plumb bob always hangs perpendicularly, so vertically downwards, it is easy to see whether something is out of alignment or perpendicular.
