Given the importance of the subject, the microlepidoptera section will comprise two volumes.
This volume deals with Micropterigidae to Tortricidae. For each species, a precise description is provided, as well as useful information on their biology.
Over 2500 species are illustrated on 118 color plates and described in detail, with particular attention paid to their biology (host plants, mines, cases, habitats frequented, typical flight period, and distribution). In some cases, genitalia are illustrated.
In practice, this volume presents more than thirty families that were not studied in previous volumes of the collection.
