In total, 181 species belonging to 18 genera of Pucciniales are described, from which 4 genera such as Caeoma, Cumminsiella, Ochropsora, and Pucciniastrum, together with 23 species are new for Israel, including 3 novel species Caeoma origani, Puccinia biteliana, and Puccinia rayssiae. The book consists of 2 main parts: (1) a general section providing data regarding materials and methods, and historical studies of rust fungi in Israel; (2) a special section providing information on species diversity of rust fungi in Israel, including macro- and micro-morphological descriptions, ecology, distribution and habitats.
