A different capsule for an even smaller microphone, the EarSight Nano 2 XLR Stereo Microfoon can be used as a lavalier microphone for stereo voice recording or hidden on a backpack for stealth recording without being noticed. The smallest microphone of Earsight product line.
If microphone size is important to you, this is the ideal mic. The same quality of manufacture as the Earsight, always assembled in France and tested before shipping. Second version replaces the old one with 3d printed casing with carbon fiber reinforcement fiber. The cable is upgraded also with thinner Mogami cable to keep the microphone as light and smallest as possible.
The Comica CVM-MF1 windscreen is also compatible without the need for a 3D adapter like the standard Earsight. Very effective for nature recording, soundscapes, ASMR, binaural, travelling. The EarSight Nano 2 XLR Stereo Microfoon can be used in combination with the Tascam DR-40X and the Tascam DR-44WLB.

Windscreens, especially for outdoor recording, are highly recommended and available here.

Guidelines on the use of Immersive Soundscapes microphones:

Set the recording gain as low as possible and then turn it up. This allows you to keep some headroom if a sound event has a higher dynamic range, this will help you avoid saturation. This prevents the appearance of background noise which increases with the gain (this depends a lot on the quality of the recorder).
Avoid tapping on the microphone to check if there is sound, this does not damage the microphone but can cause hearing damage.
Do not disconnect the jack or XLR microphone by pulling its cable.
Do not step on the cable as this could damage the connection between the cable and the capsule (the most fragile part of the microphone).
