De Tascam DR-40XP audiorecorder maakt hoogwaardige opnames mogelijk dankzij de ingebouwde stereo condensatormicrofoons. Deze ingebouwde microfoons zijn verstelbare unidirectionele microfoons voor opnames in een X-Y-patroon voor een strakke stereoweergave, of in een A-B-patroon voor een meer omgevingsgeluid.
