The Photographic Field Guide to the Grasses of Madagascar contains information on 269 species of grasses, with a general introduction and an index to Malagasy common names as well as Latin names. Researchers are continuing the considerable work of assessing the current biodiversity, distribution, uses, and evolution of the grasses of Madagascar.

About the author

Nantenaina H. Rakotomalala holds an MSc degree and specialises in grasses. Based at Kew's Madagascar office as a botanist, she has experience in field data collection and data-basing. A passionate botanist from Madagascar, she specialises in plant systematics and sustainable management.
