In Libellen van Nederland you will find a determination key and photos of 71 species of dragonflies that have been observed in the Netherlands or are expected soon. The book contains many photos and little text. In the introductory pages attention is paid to the construction of dragonflies and their way of life and reproduction. Then follows the determination key that refers to a group or a species. The sort pages contain mainly photos and a short text about lifestyle and distribution in the Netherlands and Europe.
Jan Katsman is a nature photographer and has spent his entire life on plants, birds, butterflies and dragonflies. He previously wrote Libellen in the province of Utrecht. That book is now sold out and Libellen van Nederland is the successor. The layout of the book has been improved and 10 pages of the identification key have been included.
