    Product description

This Belgian chunk Bout No. 2 is made from 100% natural "yellow" sharpening stone (Coticule Jaune standard) from the Belgian Ardennes. Due to a special geological play of nature, this stone contains around 35-40% garnet. This provides excellent grinding properties. It is a very fine stone with a small grain size.
This whetstone varies greatly in size and weight with an average of 90x30mm and 118gr.
The sharpening stones of Ardennes-Coticule are non-porous whetstones that should only be used with a little water. The grinding paste that results gives an unprecedentedly beautiful grinding result.
The relatively fragile yellow stone is glued to a slate surface. Please note: this surface has no grinding function.
