Product description

The HI98509 Checktemp 1 is an accurate digital thermometer with an AISI 316 stainless steel penetration probe and a flexible 1 m silicone cable. The thermometer has a measuring range of -50.0 to 150.0 °C and a resolution of 0.1 °C. Accuracy is ±0.2 °C from -30 to 120 °C and ±0.3 °C outside this range. The sharp-tip penetration probe is suitable for temperature measurements in liquids, air, frozen products and semi-solid materials such as fruit, vegetables and cheese.

The built-in CAL Check function automatically verifies the accuracy of the electronic measuring circuit at 0.0 °C when the instrument is switched on and displays the status. The HI98509 also features a large LCD, selectable °C or °F readout, IP65 protection and an adjustable automatic shut-off after 8 minutes, 60 minutes or disabled. The AISI 316 stainless steel penetration probe and EN 13485 certification make the thermometer suitable as a tool for temperature control according to HACCP guidelines. The HI98509 operates on three AAA batteries with a battery life of approximately two years and is supplied with batteries, a stand and instructions.
