Just as we head to bed, many animals become active. Venture outside after sunset and you will discover a completely different world. Some nocturnal animals make their presence known, while others move silently and unseen through the darkness. You will often hear an animal before you even see it. In the dark, foxes set out, bats fly about, owls call out, and all kinds of moths and other small creatures appear.
With the Nocturnal Animals Identification Card, you can discover and identify 37 different animals you might encounter in the evening or at night. It is a great resource for children, adults, schools, and nature education programs.
The card features animals such as the roe deer, pine marten, stone marten, barn owl, tawny owl, long-eared owl, red deer, badger, wild boar, fox, hedgehog, bat, and beaver. Smaller nocturnal creatures are included too, such as various moths, toads, salamanders, snails, centipedes, and earthworms. The back of the card provides information on the habits and lifestyles of these animals.
