Product description

Eggs and young birds are often threatened by predators, which can enter the nesting box through the opening. This protection basket offers protection from predators such as squirrels, martens and cats. Woodpeckers might also sometimes take over a nesting box by chipping away at the entrance. This basket also prevents chipping away of the entrance hole. Preferably mount outside of the breeding season.

Vorig najaar heb ik een aantal van deze marterkorfjes geïnstalleerd. Een maand geleden hing er een dode koolmees aan een korfje: hij was er met een van z’n pootjes in verstrikt geraakt. Ik heb de korfjes dus maar weer verwijderd.
