Ascomycete.org will soon publish Pezizomycetes of Europe Vol. 1. Three volumes are planned. This first volume of 500 pages will present the familly Pezizaceae, Ascobolaceae et Ascodesmidaceae with about 180 species of 40 genera. The book will contain an introduction, a chapter devoted to the morphological study of Pezizomycetes, a description of each family accompanied by a key to the genera, followed by a presentation of each genus with a key to the species, and finally a presentation of the species themselves. A bibliography and an index will complete the volume. Distribution maps will be available on their website.
More than 180 species of 40 genera will be fully presented in this volume of about 500 pages. Genera in bold in the following list contain at least 5 species (number into brackets). All species will be presented by descriptions, pictures, drawings, taxonomy and nomenclatural commentaries.
