This professional compass has a sturdy top cover that protects the instrument from damage, making it suitable for use in demanding situations. With a liquid compass, magnifying glass, and luminous markings for use in low light, the Suunto MC-2 mirror compass offers excellent functionality.
The accuracy of the compass is remarkable and the resolution is 2°. In addition, the Suunto MC-2 mirror compass has a clinometer, making it not only a navigation compass, but also a useful tool for measuring slopes. Detailed navigation is possible at scales of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 km.
The Earth's magnetic field does not flow evenly between the magnetic poles along the Earth's surface. To compensate for the natural tilt of the magnetic field, Suunto compasses use different balancing systems. This both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
