The Batbox BatScan is analysis software for the Batbox detectors (Duet, III D, and Baton). It offers quick and easy analysis of bat sonar.
The BatScan is easy to install and records audio samples. It plays them back via a Windows-compatible sound card. However, a sound card is not required to analyze and display audio spectrograms. BatScan processes digital audio files in a PCM format, such as .wav files. The default settings are optimized for use with the Batbox Duet.
The software works with 8-bit color. However, saving screenshots as graphic files (jpeg or bitmap) requires 24-bit color. BatScan works on all Windows versions up to and including Windows 11 and performs best with 128 MB or more of RAM.

BatScan V9.8 is delivered on a USB flash drive.
