Sylphium molecular ecology has developed a special sample rod for sampling hard-to-reach places, for example overgrown and deep banks. The 60 ml sterile disposable syringe (from the sample set) is placed in this rod, after which the water is drawn up. By using this rod, no waders, boats or other tools are needed to take water samples. This prevents DNA contamination between different sampling locations and significantly speeds up the sampling time. After sampling, the syringe can be replaced and the rod is ready to be used again.
