    Product description

The syringe is filled with 3.5 ml of sample preservation buffer specifically designed for preserving samples collected using an eDNA Dual Filter Capsule. This filled syringe is included in the eDNA sampling set SYL009.

The eDNA isolation kit (SYL002) is designed to isolate and purify eDNA from samples preserved using the sample preservation buffer. The buffer effectively lyses biological materials containing eDNA while preserving the eDNA molecules for months at room temperature. It has been adapted from a typical CTAB lysis buffer to serve as an effective solution for eDNA preservation.

Additionally, the sample preservation buffer can be provided with a low concentration xenobiotic internal positive control. This control can be used in conjunction with the eDNA isolation kit to validate the efficiency of both eDNA preservation and isolation before analysis.

    • 20 filled syringes with sample preservation solution
