The MX2309 is an easy-to-use and accurate data logger. It combines an external LI-COR LI-200R pyranometer that measures solar radiation with built-in temperature and humidity sensors. The device provides reliable solar radiation readings with a typical accuracy of about three percent.
With this setup, you can calculate important climate metrics such as:
Total solar energy (MJ per square meter)
Daily Light Integral (DLI)
Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD)
Dew Point
The MX2309 is rugged, battery-operated, and easy to install outdoors. You do not need cables. Using Bluetooth, you can configure the logger and download data with the free HOBOconnect app on your phone or tablet, up to about 100 feet away.
If you want to monitor data remotely or share it, you can add an MX Data Plan and use the LI-COR Cloud software for advanced analysis and data storage.
Note: A compatible mobile device or Windows computer with the HOBOconnect app is required.
