EntoCam autonomous Camera Trap for Insects is the complete camera system for nocturnal insect monitoring
Capture reliable nocturnal biodiversity data with the EntoCam system. This complete solution integrates a high-sensitivity 8MP camera (Sony Starvis) with the specialized EntoCam Beam UV light. By attracting a wide range of species and capturing high-resolution images, the EntoCam system provides a robust (IP66) and effective field tool for monitoring Lepidoptera and other insect populations.
Revolutionizing Moth and Insect Surveillance for Biodiversity, Agriculture, and Research
EntoCam autonomous Camera Trap for Insects is a compact, rugged, field-ready automated moth and insect monitoring system designed for high-precision data collection. Whether you’re tracking Lepidoptera populations, surveying pest species, or studying pollinator behavior, EntoCam provides consistent, high-resolution imaging in both remote and controlled environments.
With its 8 MP Sony Starvis sensor and IP66-rated casing, EntoCam autonomous Camera Trap for Insects supports long-term deployment with minimal maintenance. Its intuitive interface and affordable price make it ideal for deploying multiple units in the field, enabling scalable and cost-effective moth camera trap applications.
Bridging the Data Gap in Lepidoptera & Insect Research
As moth and insect populations decline globally, understanding their dynamics is critical to preserving ecosystems and food systems. EntoCam autonomous Camera Trap for Insects allows researchers to conduct Lepidoptera monitoring across multiple sites and timeframes, offering insights into moth behavior, population shifts, and ecological health.
Deploying multiple EntoCam units expands spatial coverage, enabling continuous and automated data collection without manual observation or invasive methods.
Power Supply EntoCam autonomous Camera Trap for Insects
You have several options for powering the camera. A power adapter is provided to use a
regular power outlet (100V to 240V AC, 50/60 Hz). For uses with an external battery, make sure you are using a 12V battery. Finally, the camera cannot be powered solely by using the internal battery compartment with 8x 1.5V AA. These batteries are only used to keep the internal clock.
