Equipped with a high-quality PRIMO EM272Z1 microphone capsule, the system ensures extremely low noise and clear recordings of bird and nature sounds (20 Hz to 20 kHz). You can listen live using the included earphones or record directly to your smartphone, camera, or field recorder. The audio interface enables real-time monitoring and includes useful features such as a low-cut filter (to reduce wind and ambient noise) and a boost function (for faint signals). The system’s autonomous design even allows for use as a standalone listening device, without needing to be connected to an external recorder. Its matte green finish prevents reflections, ensuring discreet use in natural environments.
In addition to the Pro microphone capsule for audible sound, this set includes the BatMic capsule, designed for listening to and recording ultrasonic sounds (20–80 kHz). It converts these ultrasonic frequencies into audible sound—heard as a series of clicks—by dividing the frequencies by a factor of 10.
You can easily switch between the two capsules while out in the field.
Listen in real time, create high-quality recordings, and visualize the sounds using various apps—helping you identify bird species instantly. The bat app determines the call frequency and provides a suggestion for the genus, but it does not include automatic species-recognition software for bats.
Convenient controls allow you to optimize the sound before recording:
