    The Song Meter Mini Bat 2 Li-ion is the new generation of the lightweight and small stand-alone bat detector from Wildlife Acoustics. Deploy with one to six 18650 Lithium-ion batteries for up to 125 ten-hour nights (separate lid accessory no longer needed)—an ideal solution for remote or otherwise difficult-to-access sites.

    The Song Meter Mini Bat 2 Li-ion is comparable to its bigger brother the SM4BAT FS. Thanks to this recorder you no longer need to purchase 2 seperate detectors if you want to record in full spectrum and in zero crossing because the Song Meter Mini Bat 2 Li-ion can do both. Furthermore, it offers the option to connect an acoustic microphone, expanding its capabilities to include recording birds and frogs.

    Another important feature is that the Song Meter Mini Bat 2 Li-Ion can be operated via a smartphone or tablet with a BlueTooth connection. You can download the "Song Meter Mini Configurator" app for free via Google Play or the Apple App store. It also sends interim updates via the same connection to the free app on your device. With your telephone you can, for example, set the date, time, time zone and location. For further processing and analysis of your data, you can use the Kaleidoscope software.

    This new generation of Wildlife Acoustics detectors features a redesigned housing with an enhanced weatherproof rating (IP67), an added tripod mount and a lockable enclosure.

    The bat detector is also available for the use of rechargeable batteries. The Song Meter Mini Bat 2 AA can be used for up to 420 hours with 8 AA alkaline or NiMh rechargeable batteries.
