      Product description

      The BirdMic parabolic microphone by BirdFox uses a very light 25 cm diameter parabolic dish that allows you to amplify sounds starting at 1500 Hz (most bird songs). It is equipped with a high sensitivity (-24dB) and low noise (S/N ratio 80dB) omnidirectional microphone from the PUI brand. The parabolic shape and its excellent material (ABS plastic) give it the ability to amplify and isolate sounds coming from in front. Specially designed for recording bird songs at long distance.

      It is specially designed to attach a field recorder, smartphone or any other device to the specific screw, making it easier to handle.

      In addition, its size makes it especially suitable for use as a microphone on your camcorder. It has a specific screw for this function and allows the handle to be removed. This makes it very light. Conventional shotgun microphones are intended for recording interviews at close range. The BIRDMIC parabolic microphone allows you to record at long distances without disturbing the birds.
