The Pixfra Mile 3 M325 is a compact thermal imaging camera from Pixfra’s Mile 3 series. This monocular thermal imager combines advanced thermal imaging technology with a robust, compact design. Thanks to its high thermal sensitivity, fast lens, and high-quality OLED display, the camera is suitable for observing and detecting animals and other heat sources, both during the day and in the dark.
The camera is equipped with a VOx thermal sensor featuring a resolution of 384 × 288 pixels, a pixel pitch of 12 µm, and a thermal sensitivity of ≤ 15 mK. Combined with the fast 25 mm f/0.9 lens, this delivers detailed thermal images with clear differentiation between temperature variations. The OLED display, with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 pixels, ensures a sharp and comfortable viewing experience. The maximum detection range is 1,300 meters.
With a field of view of 19.3 meters at 100 meters, you can observe larger birds and mammals across a relatively wide area. The base optical magnification of 1.8× provides a natural overview of the surroundings. The 1× to 8× digital zoom allows you to further magnify the image to get a better look at heat sources at greater distances. Even small animals are easily recognizable at shorter ranges.
The Pixfra Mile 3 M325 is designed for intuitive, one-handed operation. The multifunction control wheel integrates several key functions into a single control element. The on/off button is located separately on the side of the housing for easy access.
Advanced image processing for clear thermal images
PIPS 3.0 Pro technology optimizes thermal image rendering and helps make temperature differences clearly visible. Six color palettes are available depending on the observation scenario: White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, Alarm, Green Hot, and Sepia. The PIP function displays a magnified section of the image, allowing for comfortable examination of interesting details.
Rugged magnesium housing and replaceable battery
The magnesium alloy housing combines low weight with a sturdy construction. Weighing just 300 grams, the Pixfra Mile 3 M325 is easy to carry when out in the field. Thanks to its IP67 rating, the thermal imaging camera is dust- and splash-proof and suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -30 to +55°C. The quickly replaceable 18650 lithium-ion battery offers maximum flexibility during extended observation sessions, providing a runtime of at least 5.5 hours per battery with Wi-Fi disabled. Since two batteries are included as standard, you can use the camera for a total of approximately 11 hours—depending on usage conditions—by swapping the battery.
Recording, hotspot tracking, and Wi-Fi
The Pixfra Mile 3 M325 features hotspot tracking, which automatically marks the hottest heat source for quick identification. An electronic compass aids in orientation within the terrain. Photos and videos with audio can be saved directly to the 64 GB internal memory. Additionally, a local album feature and automatic, semi-automatic, and manual calibration modes are available.
Built-in Wi-Fi functionality allows you to connect the thermal imaging camera to up to four devices simultaneously (within a range of <40 meters). This Wi-Fi connection enables image sharing and even live viewing.
